Central American Events Company Invests in iLive

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

TEGUCIGULPA, Honduras – Comunicaciones Mango BTL (Mango) recently added an Allen Heath iLive digital mixing system to its rental stock, which includes Electro-Voice PA and D.A.S. PA line array gear. The AV rental company provides event management services for a client list that includes Unilever, Pepsico, Tigo, Bimbo and Cerveceria Hondureña.
We started using digital consoles three years ago and we love the flexibility digital gives us as we can carry less equipment. Recently we decided to invest in a digital console with at least 48 channel capacity, said Mango's Andre Ferrer, adding that a demo of the iLive-T system by Allen Heath's distributor, All Music Corp., led to the decision. We decided iLive was the right choice due to the flexible digital snake and easy learning curve.

Are We Living in “Groundhog Day?”

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

For those of you who watched the Grammy Awards on Sunday night (and apparently there were more of you this year than any year since 2004), you may have had a feeling of déjà vu when you saw virtually the same group of stars that clustered together in 2009, 2008, etc. Does this perhaps remind you — at least a little — of the 1993 film Groundhog Day? You know, like Bill Murray’s character hearing “I Got You Babe” every morning?

Now, if you happen to want to hear the same song at the same time every day, that’s fine with us. But sometimes it’s fun to let the needle find a new groove.
