STIGTOMTA, Sweden – Parashoot EA, recently added an Allen Heath iLive digital system to its rental inventory and to support its growing touring business. Comprising an iDR-48 MixRack and an iLive-T112 Control Surface, the system has already been put to use on various events over the holidays and for the European tour of the Backyard Babies.
Entitled the Them XX Tour 2010 to mark the band's 20th anniversary, the tour visits Finland, Sweden, Norway, Spain, France, Germany, UK, Switzerland and Italy.

AALBORG, Denmark – Ascon Trading, Alcons' Danish distributor, has equipped the Aalborg Congress Culture Centre (AKKC) with Alcons gear, after AKKC's head of sound, Søren Hansen, was persuaded with a visiting production followed by a comparison of different systems.
We were visited by a production which had an Alcons LR16/LR16B PA system and we were impressed by the sound. It was very clear and had great presence, Hansen said. When we were looking for new speaker systems, we did a comprehensive listening test with the Alcons system alongside two other brands. In our opinion Alcons was the best sounding and most flexible system for our purposes.

For those of you who watched the Grammy Awards on Sunday night (and apparently there were more of you this year than any year since 2004), you may have had a feeling of déjà vu when you saw virtually the same group of stars that clustered together in 2009, 2008, etc. Does this perhaps remind you — at least a little — of the 1993 film Groundhog Day? You know, like Bill Murray’s character hearing “I Got You Babe” every morning?
