LAS VEGAS – The governing body of the Parnelli Awards announced the addition to its Board of Advisors Peter Hendrickson of Tour Tech East, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. It's a great honor to be the first Canadian on the board, Hendrickson said. And I think it's good for the organization to welcome someone north of the border.
Hendrickson started as a freelance lighting designer in 1975 before founding Tour Tech as a lighting company in 1984. Over the years, he added sound, staging, power distribution and trucking to its base of business. It was all mostly local until the 1990s, when Tour Tech East started providing gear for bigger tours like those for Rod Stewart, Def Leppard and Iron Maiden. That's when we went from being a bar-type supplier to a regional supplier, Hendrickson noted.
This is a preview of Peter Hendrickson Joins Parnelli Board of Advisors . Read the full post (418 words, estimated 1:40 mins reading time)

For those of you who watched the Grammy Awards on Sunday night (and apparently there were more of you this year than any year since 2004), you may have had a feeling of déjà vu when you saw virtually the same group of stars that clustered together in 2009, 2008, etc. Does this perhaps remind you — at least a little — of the 1993 film Groundhog Day? You know, like Bill Murray’s character hearing “I Got You Babe” every morning?
Now, if you happen to want to hear the same song at the same time every day, that’s fine with us. But sometimes it’s fun to let the needle find a new groove.
