BRONX, NY – Fernando Garcia of the AVS Production Group specified and erected a major sound system consisting of 20 D.A.S. Audio Aero 50 large format, 3-way line array modules plus another four Aero 12A 2-way, compact, mid-high line array elements for the landmark Paradise Theater.
With its Greco-Roman statuary and marble columns that line gilded walls crowded with murals of winged cherubs and cloud-bound figurines reminiscent of the Sistine Chapel, this 80-year old, registered landmark building with a seating capacity of 3,785 people is host to performers of all genres, from R B artists Stephanie Mills, Freddie Jackson, Jaheim Friends and The O'Jays to the Blacktop Circus Where the Big Top Meets the Street.

For those of you who watched the Grammy Awards on Sunday night (and apparently there were more of you this year than any year since 2004), you may have had a feeling of déjà vu when you saw virtually the same group of stars that clustered together in 2009, 2008, etc. Does this perhaps remind you — at least a little — of the 1993 film Groundhog Day? You know, like Bill Murray’s character hearing “I Got You Babe” every morning?
Now, if you happen to want to hear the same song at the same time every day, that’s fine with us. But sometimes it’s fun to let the needle find a new groove.

MEMPHIS, TN – Thunder Audio of Livonia, Mich. is providing a Meyer Sound MICA and M'elodie line array loudspeaker system for the Madea's Big Happy Family tour featuring comedian Tyler Perry
A deviation from mainstream theater, Madea's Big Happy Family engages the crowd with humor and musical interludes that find audiences singing along to well-known R B and rock and roll hits. I'm breaking the wall. I'm talking to the audience. It's theater. It's some of everything. It's concert, says Perry, according to www.tv.com.

UK: The audio engineers behind The Hurt Locker were awarded the Sound trophy, writes David Davies. Taking place at the Royal Opera House in London on 21 February, the Orange British Academy Film Awards failed to deliver the clean sweep for James Cameron’s 3D-fest, Avatar, that was predicted by some commentators.
