Shure Gear Used for CMA Music Festival, CMT Music Awards

NASHVILLE – Country music fans attending or tuning into Country Music Association (CMA) Music Festival and the CMT Music Awards broadcast from Bridgestone Arena heard many of the performances captured by Shure microphones and wireless gear.
The CMT Video Music Awards
featured Kid Rock as the event's host, and he performed as an opening act,
using a chrome UR2/SM58 wireless microphone. Joining him for the opening performance were Martina McBride
and Hank Williams Jr., who also used UR2/SM58 microphones, as well as Trace
Adkins, Kellie Pickler, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, and Zac Brown, all using wireless SM58 microphones.

First Baptist Church Credits Astatic Gear for Increase in Headroom

SANFORD, FL – Richard Wagoner, associate pastor for music at the First Baptist Church of Sanford, has been using Astatic 1600VPs to help meet the challenge of miking a children's choir, and was impressed with the results.
Anyone who has tried to
mic a children's choir knows how challenging it can be, Wagoner said. We
got the 1600VPs just before a concert featuring our children's choir. We tested
the 1600VP overhead mics out in rehearsal and there was just no comparison with
what we had before.
