MOSCOW – The curators for a war memorial and museum complex located at Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow wanted to replace their PA system before this year's celebrations of the 65th anniversary of the victory of the Allied Forces over the Nazis in Europe. Avallon Ltd. of Moscow used One Systems direct weather loudspeakers for the job.
The
recreational and educational complex includes a museum and a mile-long walkway
with rides, colored fountains, restaurants and cafes, with highlights including
World War II tanks and a 465-foot obelisk representing the 1,420 days of the
war, topped with two bronze cherubs and a 3-ton statue of Nike, the Goddess of
Victory, sculpted by Moscow artist Zurab Tsereteli.
